The Ranui Quilters are a group who has spent many years at the
Community House teaching and enjoying quilting. Thursday morning
and Thursday evening are the busiest days but there is also a Monday
morning Embroiders group (9.30-11.30am) as well as Tuesday morning
Craft and Coffee group (9.30am-11.30am) where newcomers are welcome.
There are regular Saturday workshops – on the first Saturday
of each month where there will be a different project each month
– held at the Ranui Community House from 9.00am to 3pm. The
cost is $10. There is a short break in the day to enjoy a shared
lunch and much fun is always had by all.
The Quilters even have trips out of Auckland to meet up with like
minded enthusiasts. The Ranui Quilters also hold Exhibition Weekends
to show their expertise and there is always a welcome for anyone
who wishes to learn this skill.
